A bit about Kent & Elle's story in their own words:
"We met while working together as part of a team of health professionals at NYU Medical Center. On Valentine's Day 2013, Kent proposed on a romantic bridge in the Jardins del Laberint d'Horta in Barcelona, Spain.
We exchanged our vows on June 9th, 2014 at New York City Hall, and officially celebrated on August 27th, 2016 with a ceremony at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and reception at The Bradley Inn."
A bit about Kent & Elle in my words:
GUYS! these two were amazing and the details of this wedding...all done by family by the way... were to die for! It was a beautiful Maine summer day and a totally gorgeous ceremony and reception!
Yes those flowers were done by Elle's mom! Also how much do you love her rings, rose gold is so pretty and totally on trend right now.
I am loving hops on arbors and chuppahs , it's such a lush looking plant and it drapes and hangs beautifully!(Chuppah also made by family)
This was a very touching ceremony performed by their friend. The cross made when they bound the two sticks together is meant to stay in their home and help remind them of their ceremony and their commitment to each other.
We took a few family photos by the lighthouse and surrounding area before sending everyone on their way to the lovely reception that awaited them.
Kent and Elle's little daughter is the light of their life, and while she wasn't exactly thrilled with me or more accurately the camera she was absolutely thrilled to be with her parents!
While the guests all made their way back to The Bradley Inn for cocktail hour, Elle, Kent and I took a few photos of just them around Lighthouse Park.
At the cocktail hour the drinks were pretty and tasty(or so I've been told) and the oysters were being as quick as they could be shucked!
Kent's mom provided the entertainment during the cocktail hour... Love Me Tender was her opener. :)
Elle and her siblings before we led guests into the reception.
This is where things just got even more magical..the backyard of The Bradley Inn is like a secret garden, complete with gorgeous overgrown(but not too overgrown) archway to lead you in.
The cake.. OMG the beautiful, perfect, amazing cake and that candy bar! I could have stayed right there and taken pictures of just that all night long!
Did I mention that her family did all of this? Maybe once. :D
The centerpieces were probably my favorite part, each table was different and each one looked like a fairy garden straight out of a fairy tale and the bride and groom's table was a mini recreation of their ceremony!
The kids table really blew me away, it was the best! And every child there agreed. :) Best of all, for the parents anyway, Kent and Elle hired a few local young ladies to come and keep the kids entertained and safe for the evening!
Dinner was a delicious spread of fresh breads, cheeses, lobster rolls, salad, and assorted yummies from the grill!
Speeches were plentiful as was the champagne for toasting!
Thank you so much Elle and Kent for trusting us with telling the story of your wedding day!
