Mid Coast Maine Wedding Photographer {adam & holly}

You met them way back in September, Adam and Holly and all their adorable little nieces and nephews. You saw her getting ready and him ... well I don't think you saw much of him. They helped me create one of the most gorgeous couples photos I have taken to date and they were simply a dream to work with.

Now I'm going to show you the ceremony and the first dance(remember that's my favorite part ever!).

Holly and Adam chose a quintissential coastal Maine location for their ceremony... rolling green lawns leading down to the rocky shoreline, adirondack chairs for their guest to sit in, islands dotting the horizon and sailboats tied to their moorings in the harbor, it was quite simply the perfect place.

As guests began to arrive a lone bagpiper marched along the crest of the hill welcoming them to Adam and Holly's day.

The kids were such an important part of the day, Holly and Adam made sure they were included and made to feel a part of it all. They are both going to be amazing parents someday (no pressure guys, but you really will be!).

I am in love with the boys hats.. in L.O.V.E., the vintagey look is perfect for the way I wanted to process these images(because it's all about me you know, hehehe).

Holly's father walked her down the sloping lawn and joined her mother and they both walked their daughter down the aisle. xoxo

There is so much here that I simply adore, the look on Adam's face, the way the sequins from Lucille's dress sparkle and reflect on Holly's dress, the kayak just off shore turned and watching the goings on, the little boys giggling into their hands and the little girls preoccupied with other things... I just love it all.

Adam's groomsmen serenaded the couple with a song from one of my all time favorite movies The Wedding Singer.

It goes a little something like this:

I wanna make you smile,
Whenever you're sad.
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad.
All I wanna do,
Is grow old with you.

I'll get you medicine,
When your tummy aches.
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks.
Oh it could be so nice,
Growin' old with you.

I'll miss you, kiss you,
Give you my coat when you are cold.
Need you, feed you.
Even let you hold the remote control.
So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink.
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink.
Oh I could be the man,
Who grows old with you.

I wanna grow old with you.

It was sweet and funny and just plain adorable, even more so because Holly had no idea what they were singing and was totally perplexed, apparently she's no Adam Sandler oficionado.

Adam and Holly wereso present for every moment of their wedding it was beautiful to watch.

Their rings were brought to them by their two adorable little ring bearers, handed up with sweaty little hands and expectant little faces.

This leads me to one of my favorite images of the day... of course I love the first dance and the bride and groom formal photos and all of those images from all of the big moments from the day but this moment was one that I will probably remember forever. They were waiting to bring the rings to Holly and Adam and were beginning to get bored as little boys made to stand still for more than five minutes will do, they knew they had to behave and not make noise but the little boy within was screaming to get out so this is what ensued. I had to stop myself from laughing out loud it was just too funny and all boy!

Oh and check out the feather in little man's pocket more proof that these were just little boys being little boys, he found it just before the ceremony started and wore it in his pocket the entire time.

Once the ceremony was over while we waited for our boatride over to The Contented Sole for the reception we took advantage of the scenery available and got some great shots of the bride and groom with the kids and without.

The ceremony was held just across the harbor from the site of the reception. What better way to get there than by boat... while the guests drove back around the harbor (about a 5 mile drive) the wedding party boarded the Miss Yankee Pride and had a champagne toast and cruise before docking at The Contented Sole.

And then, finally, my favorite part of the day... the first dance. *sigh*

The look on Holly's face says it all.. that is exactly how you should feel on your wedding day. <3

Thank you both a million times for choosing us to be your wedding photographers, we loved every minute of your day!

xoxo Liz
