Nathan and Alexandria were married in a backyard ceremony in Cape Neddick, Maine and oh what a backyard it was! The cake was divine, the dancing was the epitome of fun and the night was perfection.
They both started their day off getting ready at The Meadowmere Resort in Ogunquit before catching a trolley from the York Trolley Company to their amazing private wedding site in Cape Neddick.
I love comparing how the guys handle the moments leading up to the big day as compared to the ladies.... notice the poised and calm demeanor of the girls as opposed to the party bus thing the guys have going on. LOL Don't let it fool you though, these girls knew how to have fun!
This dress... this bouquet, this amazing veil.... it was all simple perfection.
Alexandria had a few moments and last minute preparations with her equally beautiful sister... the nervous(but oh so excited) energy was nearly visible as she peeked one last time at the aisle she would soon be walking down.
As it is with every wedding(for me anyway) it seems those last few minutes are an eternity and then it's time and it all goes so fast! I love the look on Nathan's face as he got his first glance at his bride.
I love a group who knows how to look gorgeous one minute and goofy the next.
Yes this is still in the backyard.... and yes these two knew how to rock it!
This cake... can I just live in this cake(ok that would be weird but I think you get what I mean), Let Them Eat Cake out of Kennebunk, Maine came through with yet another fabulous creation. I adore her cakes and this was no exception!
This was a first, but hopefully not last, for me... a chandelier at the alter.
Gorgeous is all I can say... simply gorgeous from beginning to end!
Ahhhh the first dance, it was fun and swingy and soft and romantic, it fit Nathan and Alexandria to a T!
The dancing... oh there was so much dancing, these ladies and gentlemen knew how to boogie.
It was a fairytale.
Thank you so much Nathan and Alexandria! Wishing you both many, many years of love and happiness to come.
